Very pricey but never had such a delicious piece of beef liver. One of the most nutritious parts of a meat.

Everything is very fancy and neatly decorated. They have fridge with various items like duck stock, chicken, dog food, eggs, etc. Straight from the farm🐮

The customer service is great, the packaging is elegant, the shrink wrap is well sealed & the flavor of the meat is truly as it says on the box: USDA Prime. We got the beef variety box and it will be making lots of meals for us, and I would suggest getting it as a gift for a family as it is not only tasteful, but so tasty!

This boutique local butcher is a great spot to go when you need that special grass-fed, marble piece of meat from a particular reason or Farm, or when you need an old-school kind of something like guanciale, to make some real Italian pasta, the butcher's there are knowledgeable, friendly, and what is under the glass, changes with the season, whatever the season, ask him a few questions and you'll get an education in the new paradigm of Butchery, in a more sustainable way.
Also, they had some head cheese, which I figured must be high quality since it was there, and I had the first taste of had cheese that I've had in 45 years, having had a traumatic experience with head cheese back in the day, when I was forced to eat it regularly.
One bite of this newfangled head cheese swept all those memories away, it was anxious and delicious, and has me reconsidering my life choices.

This is a great place to buy meat (if you like that). Their cuts of meats are beautifully displayed. Besides beef and chicken, they carry things like Butchers Hash, and West Coast Scrapple. They also have duck. I noticed they have wool sponges (I have never seen them before). They carry onions and garlic. They also have books about meat.

One of the best things is they have butchers that can cut a piece of meat for you, and most markets these days don't have that kind of service. Also, they have free bay leaves.

I have never been to The Local Butcher Shop but today i tried the ranch pork braise, grilled onion, sautéed romano bean, pickled gypsy pepper, blue cheese aioli, and vinaigrette on a sweet deli roll sandwich. For $15 i expected more meat in the sandwich but after i removed all the pure fat; there was not enough meat to cover the full sandwich. The other ingredients that made up the sandwich were incredible; flavorable and delicious. The place was very clean and organized and the staff were very helpful and nice. They offered me samples so i will definitely be back to try their roast beef sandwich next time before i make a final judgment because it could have just been that sandwich i had that had all that fat added to sandwich; things happen so i will definitely come back again.

What an awesome shop! I was looking all over for a cut of pork that was not smoked and they had it fresh. The quality of the meat and customer service was fantastic. I will be back!

4 years ago on jan 25th 2021 i was told to wait outside in the rain with my 4 year old because my scarf kept falling down due to keeping up with my wiggly child. but because i had driven approx 30miles to shop there i complied. to make matters worse after spending $245 i had to pay .25 each for 2 bags smh you’d think the least they could have done was give me complimentary bags but i really shouldnt have been surprised since they wanted a small child to wait outside in the rain cuz her parent’s “mask” kept falling down

Bottom line: DO NOT sign up for their classes. I first signed up for an April class ~3 months in advance, making plans around it because I assumed it would happen. Less than 3 days in advance, they sent a cancellation email and offered to reschedule or sign me up for another class. I signed up for another class, again planning around it, and yet again they cancelled with less than 3 days notice.

The shop has great food-I've been going there for years when I've wanted high-quality meats. But the fact that they've wasted so much of my time and in both instances have only offered to refund the ticket (a discount, or *anything* to acknowledge the inconvenience), makes it feel like they don't care at all about me as a customer.
