Arrived at prime time(1145 Sunday morning), one table inside and one outside were available - 7 inside, 2 out). I sat at the counter (4). Greeted right away, super friendly staff. Photo is a Cowpoke Skillet after I plowed in to it. Best biscuit I’ve had in a while. I was able to finish half my plate of food; the rest had to go with. This is one of those places where everyone (staff) calls the owner Mom and they are all rowing in the same direction. Great place to hit if you’re going to/from the dog park, a bike ride, or a hike up in the canyon. If you get the cowpoke, be advised that they cube up the chicken fried steak so it’s about the size as the potatoes, which were perfect BTW. My new Westside local.

This was our first time here! The food was delicious. My husband had the bandito skillet with half green chili and half gravy. I had the sunrise skillet with green chili and both were so good. We also had the pancakes. We sat at the bar and were mesmerized watching the chef cooking. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

My wife, dog, and I went there to get some great food as the reviews looked great. We love mom and pop restaurant's. We also went there as there was a patio for dogs. My wife waited on the patio as I went inside to let the staff know that we were there on the patio with our dog. The wait person said oh ok. Let me ask. She walked up to a table. There were staff there eating and figuring there checks. The one lady looked up and said "it's not really open." This was at 1100 am the they close at 200 pm. I asked the patio? The lady at the table said "Yes it's not really.
I said ok and then left. I told my wife that they did not want our business. As they are not really open.
We were looking forward to the nice breakfast however our they did not want our money.

Food is actually better than you’d expect. Not really much of a value, I’d say. Limited seating. If they’re busy, they drop the check and expect you to leave, and the waitstaff is fairly rude about it. Good marks for food. Bad marks for cramped, dingey atmosphere, value, inhospitable waitstaff.

I have always loved my breakfasts at Susie’s. I live in the mountains, and I stop here when I come down to Colorado Springs. The absolute best part of my breakfast is the Home Fry Potatoes.
Something’s has changed though; I have four items of take-out, and management has decided no more bags for tipping customers. Can she not afford to donate a 5-cent bag or a 10-cent state bag tax to served her customers?
Other than this bag thing, I love their food.

We found a spot to sit right away, even if the space is extremely limited. Everyone was very nice. The breakfast burrito was very good and large in size, I really loved the home fries. The skillet was also good but a bit small and my husband was expecting it to come out in an actual skillet. The french toast was also good, very small though for the price.
Overall it was a good experience, but nothing special that would make me want to come back.

Food was delicious and served pretty quick. Then again we arrived when it wasn’t busy. The young chick working there needs to learn professional manners and not flip off her coworkers in front of customers. Maybe that’s how they get along but that should be done in the back away from customers field of view.

Awesome all around. Lots of love and hospitality packed in a little place. The food was excellent. My son loved the massive pancake and I enjoyed the chicken fried chicken breakfast. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Only good things to say about this place.
