The food was delicious. Definitely filled us up. My son and I are out on a guys' weekend getting away from things and stopped here for dinner while in Lake City, CO. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and my son had the chicken strips.

This was our first stop when driving through Lake City to get a bite and a beer. Place has charm and tasty tacos as well. Fair prices and quick service. Beer selection a little sparse though. Will return.

Southern Vittles was tasty, especially after a long day of trail riding! The available seating is fairly small inside, but they have multiple tables outside also. Unfortunately, they were out of gumbo & bacon for all the sandwiches, so most of us ordered the catfish & hushpuppies. They catfish is fresh & tender, but the highlight for me was the hushpuppies.

After spending the night in Alpine Loop and came into Lake City the next day, found this place. Brisket sandwich is packed with meat. Good, tasty beef. Not dried out. Husband got the chicken sandwich. After eating the entire thing, he said "they know how to cook chicken". Nice staff. Great place to grab a bite to eat.

I love this southern town home cooking. This time, I took another friend with me, and I tried the tea and pulled pork and apple pie. It's all good! Can't wait until next time! Great job chefs and staff!

It takes a lot for me to leave a review that is not real good. The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. Our waitress was behind the cash register playing a game on her phone. We ordered the sandwich that is half kielbasa, she brought us the wrong food (no kielbasa). She ran away so fast we could not get what we needed. She never checked on us so we just ate what she brought. We told her we were sharing both of our meals and couldn't get her to bring a plate or a fork. Our drinks sat empty for quite a while until we asked a different waitress to refill them... the place is not that big and they weren't real busy....
The young waitress with long hair was very attentive to her tables and ended up helping us.

Go to the soda shop...delicious ice cream.
