I cannot even begin to describe how incredible this place is! Holy cow! Located near Dick’s Sporting Goods, immediately upon walking up just to check it out we were met with the owner making drinks. He greeted us with a smile and started chatting about what to expect at his shop. Curt Peterson began by pointing out the piece from 5280 on his shop then dove right in on what his ice cream was all about and how it paired with the nitro cold brews. He then started busting out sample after sample. My oldest daughter loves lemon and he delivered a delicious lemon flavor. My youngest loves everything so she tried it all and settled on cookies and cream. My husband got butterbrickle in a whiskey barrel cold brew (SO GOOD!) and I got the honey hotness in the same cold brew. Now, when I tell you that honey hotness was the best ice cream I’ve ever had I am not even remotely exaggerating. It was perfectly creamy, the honey was paired perfectly with the habanero which you didn’t taste until the very end and it was a subtle but wonderful tickle of spice. I LOVE spicy stuff and this delivered. Curt was extremely kind and you could tell he loves his business and his products. It’s also fairly reasonably priced! I will return to Colorado Mills just for his ice cream and coffee!

This place has some of the best ice cream flavors I’ve ever tried. If you’re tired of the standard ice cream shop flavors, you definitely want to visit. The owner was closing up when we got there and still took the time to sample some new flavors for us and we tried everything from sweet to spicy ice creams. The store itself is adorable and there’s a patio although we didn’t go out to sit. Absolutely a new fave

I love this place! First of all, the ice cream is to die for. Rich and creamy and the flavors are so fun. I had an affogato (expresso with a scoop of ice cream) with butterbrickle ice cream and it was fabulous. My kids love the mint ice cream and the cookies and cream.
Now if you are looking for your coffee fix, look no further. My favorite is the Marcala but there isn't a bad coffee in the bunch. Even better, the owner is just the nicest guy. He lets you try a few spoons of the different flavors so you can pick just what you want. He is a fountain of knowledge on Italian coffee and ice cream. We really like stopping at Smith + Canon whenever we are at the Colorado Mills mall for a treat or a pick me up. You should too!
Update* I have been going to Smith + Canon for a while now and the quality and price have been very consistent. They have added a few new items to try like Italian sodas so there is just more to love!

Absolutely amazing experience here. Kurt, the owner, is incredibly friendly, really cares about his community and his business. Very knowledgeable and they make you feel at home. The Foxy Brown cream is something I've never experienced and it was so delectable. I hope eveyone gets to visit this gem. Love to support Black Owned Businesses. We spent about $40 because we purchased a shirt, a bag of coffee, a half pint of ice cream and a coffee with ice cream and we'd spend another $40 in a heartbeat. Loved my time there.

Oh my gosh. This place is incredible. I ordered the butter toffee ice cream and it’s the only toffee I’ve eaten in my entire life that didn’t stick in my teeth. Great flavor also liked the cookies and cream. They are small batch, gourmet ice cream, and the flavor totally proves it. I’ll be back.

Great place to stop and have coffee or ice cream or both. Curt the owner is very nice and welcoming. Great customer service! The beverages were amazing with the choices he provides and taste! It has a shared patio in the back you can chill after getting your order. Everything is priced reasonably. I highly recommend this place and I will be back in the future. A must try if your a local or just visiting!

A little late with the review, but, I had the pleasure of supporting this Black-owned business several weeks ago. It was so delicious, I even had seconds! Initially, I had tried the affogato and enjoyed the medley of some delicious, strong coffee and the sweetness of the cinnamon flavoured ice cream. I had a spoon or two from the hubs cup and it was delish. I later got a cone with foxy brown and a flavour I can’t recall.

The young man (Austin, I believe) who served us was very polite, efficient and made some great menu suggestions. As we sat at one of the tables, the owner, who was just dropping in, engaged with us and told us a little about the place. He was friendly, polite and informative.

Definitely will be checking them out whenever I’m in the area.
