I never leave reviews but this place was so amazing that I have to. I got there near closing time after a full day of travel and they were very kind and accommodating.

Their chicken alfredo was literally the best alfredo I have ever ate. Without a doubt. No questions asked. It was glorious. Sitting there enjoying that plate of pasta was an experience.

I will be coming back here every time I am in LA. It was so good that I want to fly my wife out here just to try it.

I've enjoyed many meals in the lovely city of Los Angeles, but none more than I did at Rosti Tuscan Kitchen in Calabasas, California.

Let me just start by saying that the food there was decent. I mean, the portions were good, and almost all the dishes we had were delicious.
I really impressed me was their marinara sauce, sometimes that stuff can be too heavy or acidic, but not here. It felt just right in my 40 something yr old stomach
Their service was a bit slow and this is a minor complaint, I wish they had some nice wine glasses. We brought along a good bottle of wine, and it just seemed wrong sipping it out plain little wine glasses that looked and felt like plastic. Overall it was a great experience.

After a short wait outside on Sunday evening, we were led to our table in the main dining area. It was not busy, there were plenty of open tables, and servers were relaxed and unrushed.
After water and bread was placed on the table, the three of us waited for over 20 minutes while servers cruised up and down past our table, until I eventually stopped one of them and asked if we could order.

A thing I find totally annoying in a restaurant is when 2 guests are brought their food, while the 3rd guest sits staring at the table cloth and cutlery.... Her food finally came and it was not what she ordered. Instead of immediately clearing the plate, the server and the manager then proceeded to have a discussion about whether my partner's order was correct. This, of course, while the 3 of were waiting to eat ...
(The manager then did offer us a complimentary glass of wine, which we accepted....)

Unfortunately, the final event was the strangest of all.... After we were finished with our entrees, and without even asking whether we wanted dessert or coffee, the manager brought the bill to our table - and then announced to our table what the final charge was and asked how we'd like to pay! I have NEVER been in a restaurant where the server or manager brings over the bill at the end of the meal, and loudly announces to everyone at the table what the final charge is. I was astonished, to say the least.....

I left a tip that clearly indicated my disappointment at the mediocre food, the poor (almost zero) service, and the final bizarre behavior of the manager...

I met a few friends at Rosti this past week for happy hour; we sat on the patio and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Since we ordered just a few appetizers, giving a true review of the food is limited. We ordered mussels, which were fine, bruschetta, which was incredibly delicious, and meatballs. I did not partake in the meatballs, but my friends shared that the turkey ones were not as good as the red meat ones. Our waiter was the highlight if I am truthful, patient, and personable. I hope to try this restaurant again soon to really experience what they have to offer.

I had my first (and last) visit to Rosti, and I will definitely not be going back. It was a horrible experience, to say the least. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, which is supposedly one of their signature dishes, and it was absolutely unappetizing. The dish was loaded with cheese, completely lacking sauce, and the eggplant was dry and undercooked. When we sent it back, the staff came out to ask why we didn’t like it—almost as if they were surprised.

Two of us ordered the eggplant, and one of us had the chicken with pink sauce. The chicken was so dry it was almost inedible. I honestly have no idea who thinks this food is tasty, let alone remotely Italian. When we explained our dissatisfaction, the staff suggested that “maybe we are not for you.” Well, they were right about that—because we enjoy great food, and this certainly wasn’t it.

Response …No thank you for responding however as you told us at the time Maybe Your restaurant is not for us I actually agree you there thing you called eggplant Parmesan look horrible as the taste the eggplant was completely uncooked no sauce with some brown looking never seen one like that definitely not Italian for sure !
