Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover—Pinocchio’s Is a Hidden Gem

From the outside, Pinocchio’s might not catch your eye—it’s tucked away in what looks like a tired little strip mall. But don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. Step through the doors, and you’re instantly transported into a charming, old-fashioned Italian eatery that’s tastefully decorated and full of character. It’s like entering another world.

The menu is varied, with several standout dishes that are nothing short of sublime. From the rich, perfectly seasoned pastas to the tender, flavorful meats, each bite feels like a lovingly crafted experience. And don’t even think about skipping dessert—their sweets are out of this world.

I highly recommend Pinocchio’s to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in Sonora. It’s a delightful surprise and absolutely worth discovering.

Find this tucked away Italian delight, great food, great service, great decorations. The prices were reasonable, the serving sizes were great. We all left happy and full. I would definently recommend this place. The spaghetti was great though they served the meatball on the side which was unusual. Overall I can't say great enough.

Wonderful spot to stop for delicious food!
Highly recommend the lasagna Bianca, brushetta, meatballs, and waffle Gelato.

Everything was very tasty, these items packed a flavor punch!

I loved this place so much!!! The food was amazing and so was the Pinocchio’s themed interior! I didn’t get to take photos of the food cause I ate it all before I had the chance to take some but I did get some photos of the interior.

Love that they open on Mondays. We had the McClean sandwich and Lasagna Rossa. Both were solid. I highly recommend this place, everything is delicious and consistent. My son dusted the lasagna!

The best place in Sonora for outstanding food! The ambience reflects their history so well. Excellent service,great chefs,awesome servers. The family feel makes it even better. Had an early dinner at Pinocchio's and glad I did! From the moment I walked in I was treated like I was a regular! All of the staff, especially my waitress, were amazing...as was the food! I had the spaghetti w/meat sauce (which had nice size pieces of hamburger) and the cauliflower flatbread. I know that they can be busy, so I recommend an early dinner to get your choice of seating and a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Make Pinocchio's a place to visit!

One of the best italian meals of my life. Lasagna is rich, savory, and delicious. Alfredo was just okay as was the garlic bread. Small wine and beer selection but quite adequate. The star of the show, DO NOT MISS IT, is the marinara sauce. I could have eaten it like soup. Best I've ever had, any where, hands down. Excellent service as well.
