For any who are just passing through, this is a mining tavern with standard fare. What really stood out was the patio, which had a lovely view and ironworks around it. It's large enough to host a private event, but since we went on a holiday, and since we brought our pup, we had it to ourselves.

Food: We ordered the cheese curds, pulled pork, and barbacoa street tacos
All of it was yummy. All of it was somewhat unique in its style, and I won't ruin it by overexplaining.

If you're vegan or vegetarian, you're mostly out of luck, though. This is a chicken wings beef patty pulled pork kind of place, and it's no frills.

We were in town to see Oracle State Park, which was very close. We'll surely make this a stop on any return trips to sample more of the menu and enjoy the peaceful patio views.

I took myself on a little road trip recently and stopped at the Orehouse Hilltop Tavern for dinner before heading home.

Would I call this place a dive? I’m not sure. It’s on the darker side, perhaps to match he mining decor, but it does have brighter outdoor seating, too. Go where you’re most comfortable.

I decided on the Blazing BLT and a Hard Cranberry Lemonade. Since they were out of cole slaw, I opted for the onion rings.
Simply put, that was probably the best BLT I’ve ever had. It had plenty of crunchy bacon, and the jalapenos added a little kick to the flavorful spices in the sauce. Even the onion rings were very good! Not every place has good onion rings.

The waitress was pleasant but only checked on me once and toward the end of my visit. She’d earn more in tips by interacting with the guests more often, but that’s another conversation for another time.

If you find yourself hungry in Oracle, Arizona, stop by the Orehouse Hilltop Tavern. It’s worth a visit.

While parking can be a bit tricky on busy nights, the experience overall is worth it. Orehouse Hilltop Tavern offers a perfect blend of great food, drinks, and a comfortable setting, making it a top choice for anyone looking for a local spot to enjoy a drink and a meal.

We were absolutely impressed with this wonderful establishment. It was a pleasant surprise after a half day of riding ATVs. The service was very friendly—without going overboard. The food was made fresh with delicious ingredients. Portions were spot on—just enuf without overloading the plate. Our group of 6 had an assortment of cold bar brews, that delightfully quenched everyone’s dry tongue. And to top it all off, the a entire check was above reasonable. If you live local, or planning a day trip, our group highly recommends stopping in the Orehouse Hilltop Tavern.
Note: Our dining experience was 3-4pm/Friday.

Got there at wrong time, out of chicken, brisket, fish , mushrooms list goes on. Finally ordered hamburgers. Very tasty & fries were teriffic. Oh out of cheese curds too

When we dined there, the first red flag was we had to ask for service. The appetizer and meals were cold. My hamburger was a black overcooked dry cold patty. We continued to flag the waitress for refills. The only time she was attentive was when payment was to be made. Worst meal ever!

This is a cool place. But I was very surprised that french fries don't come with a sandwich. If you order a sandwich you have to pay $5 extra for french fries, which is very unusual. So we got the chicken tender basket that comes with french fries. It was very good and the beer-battered french fries were amazing! Service was a little bit slow and the bartender was not very friendly. We will go again.
