Peaceful atmosphere with mountains as the perfect backdrop, and delicious comforting food. Small town feel, family owned and ran, makes you feel like you're at home (but with fancier food). We couldn't get enough!

Amazing dinner experience! The Boeuf Bourguignon and Bouillabaisse were insanely good. We enjoyed dinner so much we forgot to take pictures! But here is the dinner menu. Make sure to make a reservation. Chef Gilbert is amazing and hospitable. Great place to celebrate birthdays!

With the recent addition of dinner (Thu-Sat), Monsieur Crepe is our little slice of Paris, within walking distance from our house. From the escargot swimming in the most luscious, herby garlic butter to a beautifully rich bouillabaisse, the food here is as good as any top notch French restaurant in LA - but half the price. With its casual atmosphere and cozy space, it genuinely reminds me of many neighborhood places in Paris - a place the locals love. It truly is a gem in Sierra Madre and I can’t wait to come back again and again. Decent wine list as well!

Me and my husband love coming to this crepe place. There are outdoor and indoor seating of your choice. We found out they just changed ownership a month ago. Not sure what happened but hope they keep the good quality of food and service and maintain the friendly relationships with our local frequent customers. They do close at 2pm on weekdays so so go at 1:30pm. We are until 2pm but felt some pressure and rush because the staff started stacking up empty chairs and putting away the condiments on the table. We got a feeling of we need to hurry up cz they are closing without a staff coming to tell us to take our time and enjoy our lunch. That's a little thing they can improve on. Other than that, the food were great. We usually order one sweet and one savory. Since we had too much sweet stuff in the morning that day, this time we ordered two savory crepes -- Chicken Pesto and a Smoke Salmon. Will come back again.

Authentic French crepes and many other French favorites. This restaurant has always been a local favorite, but they recently expanded their offerings. I think they are currently under their third management team, and each successive owner has added their own enhancements. So if you haven't been recently you should visit again to experience all the latest upgrades, such as the following:

1. Expanded menu beyond just crapes, with some really great additions
2. Open for dinner Thursday - Saturday (check current hours, to be sure)
3. Full table service
4. Alcohol

I really enjoy this traditional French place hiding in plain sight. It is fast becoming a local icon.

Didn’t expect much other than some good crepes for brunch when besties suggested checking this cafe out for brunch, but boy … what a lovely surprise! This could be one of the best brasseries in LA. Easily one of the best baguettes & best bouillabaisse I’ve ever had in LA. The bouillabaisse is comparable to the good ones in Cassis! Of course, crêpes & French onion soups & baguette sandwiches were excellent too! Total hidden gem of LA!

Service could be a bit on French mode at peak hours, so if you are in a rush, please mention it to staff or order ahead for takeout. I like quality slow food and wanted a chill brunch, so it was perfect. Street parking only.

I was excited to visit this restaurant, especially after hearing about their gluten-free crepes, but unfortunately, the experience was a complete disappointment from start to finish.

Upon arrival, we waited five minutes at the entrance per the sign’s instructions, but no one came to greet or seat us. Eventually, we flagged someone down, who casually told us to sit wherever we wanted. Once seated, we waited a few more minutes before someone came by to take our drink order. While the drinks arrived in a reasonable amount of time, the requested water never came.

Things only went downhill from there. After waiting 20 minutes, we attempted to place our food order, but the employee we asked said, “I’m not a server,” and rushed off instead of helping us get a server. Frustrated, I went inside to request assistance, and they assured me someone would be out shortly. However, another five minutes passed without anyone showing up, so we flagged someone else to place our order.

30 minutes later, still no food. When we went inside to check, we were informed that our order hadn’t even been entered yet. At that point, we were about to be late for a show and has to leave.

It’s baffling how poorly this restaurant is managed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service made this an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I was really looking forward to trying their gluten-free crepes, but I’ll never know if they’re any good because I won’t be returning. What a waste of time.
