They stole my short ribs; admitted I didn't get them from my order and won't make it right. They also cut my meat incorrectly and gave me 11 giant chunks of beef 5-7 lbs per package. All I got from a 1/4 beef was those huge 11 chunks and ground beef. They would not call me back, after 5 calls & telling me they would, a month later the owner finally called me back & refused to admit any wrongdoing in the way my meat was cut except to say I didn't get my short ribs but refused to give me money for them or short ribs in their place. The ground beef packages ALL have tears and holes so they leak blood all over when you defrost it. They're dishonest and poor quality service. I discourage anyone from using them. The photos are supposed to be "steaks" I asked for packs of 4 and I got one huge piece. It was all cut like this. Very disappointing.

POOR QUALITY

The rancher I buy cows from had a 1/2 cow processed at this facility in Summer 2022. Since receiving the cow, I have had about 15 ground beef packages come out that look like the pictures I attached. It appears to have an incredibly high percentage of fat, which has made it more or less inedible. I tried to rectify this issue with the processor before posting a review, but they have not responded to the email I sent them over 2 weeks ago.

Can't say enough nice things about these good folks. Great experience all the way around. We took in two mule deer and then a cow elk a few days later. They were all three ready for us on our return trip a few days later. Pam was gracious enough to open the store on her day off to let us pick it up. She let the wives do some shopping why we loaded the coolers. everything we have eaten has been excellent. You get your own animal back, so how you treat your game before dropping it off has a lot to do with the flavor when you get it back.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I LOVE THEIR JERKY!! I usually buy masterblend, hillbilly and teriyaki jerky and it is so so good! Their bratwurst is really good too. My favorites include the philly, and the honey ginger.

I have been using Hotchkiss Meats for my wild game for the past 6 years and they never disappoint. They have a ton of options which is a great plus. Make sure to be very specific about what you want. But that's not their fault just me not reading the options thoroughly. I also know I will always get the animal I brought in back. I know because I can taste the difference. Just had some of my elk brats and they are delicious!

I had high hopes for getting my deer processed here, but most of my ground has had chunks of tendon ground in it and has not been edible. Then most of my steaks have had hair all over it and a quite a few were not even sealed. Very disappointed with the way my deer was processed especially after paying a few hundred dollars and taking the time to hunt and harvest my animal and not even being able to enjoy the meat..

From Hotchkiss currently live in Junction. Have been using this facility for years with no complaints. I even had friends from Eagle go to Hotchkiss for processing and they loved it.
