Update*** (Updated review at end of original review) I don’t know what has happened here, but things have really changed when it comes to service. I ordered a Hells Kitchen on marble rye…what I got was a slice of pumpernickel and a slice of who knows what. Instead of them telling me that they are out of marble rye and if I would like it to be on a different type of bread, they made that choice for me. The tomato’s are almost white in color and the onions are just a couple diced onions just sprinkled on this sad excuse for what Heidi’s sandwiches used to be. I eat at home now because every time I want to sit and dine in…I have to clean the crumbs and whatever else is living on the tables and seats before I can sit down. Really disappointed with how this establishment is going the opposite direction.

UPDATE
I was contacted about my experience and was asked to try this establishment once more with proper changes that have been put in place. Upon arrival, Raul greeted me right away and was kind and patient. I ordered the Hells Kitchen and it was made to perfection! This is how Heidi’s used to make their sandwiches! This is the Heidi’s I have grown to love over the last 20 years. Thanks so much to the team at the Brighton location, Raul, Estrella, and Angel, for making my dining experience wonderful! I will be returning if this is the new norm!

Based off of the other negative reviews it seems our experience was on par for this location. Not sure if there’s a manager for this store looking out for quality/ consistency but it doesn’t seem like it since the issues appear to be the same across the board. Paid $40 for two sandwiches one that was missing half of the add ons, and the other that literally has “avocado” in the title only to find half of a half of a piece of avocado on it. Also the bread was wrong and no one said anything about switching them out which seems to happen every time we come here. If you’re going to charge $16-$17 for a sandwich there’s no reason they shouldn’t be perfect every time or at least bare minimum inclusive of all the ingredients ordered and paid for.

Had a great Meatball Sub and a great Brownie made fresh right before my eyes! REALLY good cheese and sauce and warmed to perfection! Would recommend 5/5 Staff was on point thank you Angle!

I previously raved about Heidi’s, giving them a 5-star review for their amazing sandwiches, arguably the best in Brighton. While their portion sizes can be a bit inconsistent, my main issue has become their service. Over the past 10 orders for pickup, made at least once a week, I have consistently waited 10 to 15 minutes (up to 25) past the quoted time. After the 10th occurrence today, I politely asked for more accurate estimates or for my order to be ready on time. The first employee rudely claimed she couldn’t start the order until I arrived, which is obviously not true. When I requested to speak with the manager, she was also rude, offering excuses and no resolution, not even a discount for my 15-minute wait past the 20-minute quoted time.

While Heidi’s sandwiches are still great, the service has become unacceptable. If you value your time, I cannot recommend this place anymore. They simply do not prioritize timely service, even if they say they will.

We use to love this place but it sure has gone down hill

I ordered a spicy ham and cheese

They only toasted half of it so one side of it was soggy non toasted bread while the other side was toasted. It’s now the 4th time I have been here and added a smoothie and they hand me food and tell me have a nice day with no smoothie then when I tell them I had a smoothie they throw a fit about making it. The orders in front of me and behind me also had issues and leaving the management up to a couple kids seems to be running this place into the ground…… I won’t be back
