Update: After a lot of turnover and a bit of a rough period, the coffee is back to being pretty good! It depends on the day, but I think they make solid drinks and most of their staff is friendly- can't speak to their new food menu though.

Large coffee shop with kind of a "workspace" vibe but you'll also find people hanging out and chatting! Excellent coffee, I'd say its currently the best in Chico and their baristas are pretty consistent!

I walked up to the blonde girl in braids, say good morning, and she walks off while I’m looking at the menu for about 5 seconds. Another customer comes up next to me instead of standing in line and she comes back, and ignores me to take that persons order. Luckily a guy working in the prep area noticed, and came over right away to help me. First and likely last time I’ll be coming here. If you look at other 1-2 star reviews for here it seems others have had similar experiences with the cashiers.

This place is amazing! The staff are all friendly, always smiling and helping! The atmosphere is so peaceful and positive! I wish they were open longer during the day as they close at 4pm!
The interior design is great and the drinks and pastries are delicious. Highly recommended!

Nice, modern coffee shop that is very open and spacious. The espresso I got was very bright and fruity which ended up being quite tasty. Their bags of coffee were all very old so I didn't pick one up.

The café itself is very nice. Has plenty of seating options and the coffee is pretty good as well as the food. I didn’t like the service I received. (for context, i’m Mexican & my girlfriend is black & happened to be the only lesbian couple in the entire cafe). I waited in line for about 10 minutes just for the cashier to completely ignore me when an older gentleman walked up behind me and decided to help him instead. When I pointed out that I was next in line, the two completely ignored me and carried on with their conversation but seemed to glare at me multiple times during their interaction. After having helped said gentleman, the cashier walks away when i asked if i could be rung up and a different cashier walks up to the other lane and asks if I’ve been helped yet. She was very nice and I appreciated her noticing that I needed help. She was young, about my age. The cashier who ignored me seem to be about 30’s, white, and male. I’m not sure if the man behind me was just an important person, but I did not like being ignored three times over. I’m aware that Chico is a predominantly white area& may not be super friendly to people of the LGBTQ+ community all the time. But the experience that me and my girlfriend had there was not a pleasant one. I will not will be returning to purchase their coffee. This is the place for you if you’re old, white and rich!

Id recommend tender loving coffee for my LGBTQ+ folk. There were a lot of eyes on us while we were just trying to enjoy our coffee.

I encountered unsatisfactory customer service from a barista named Emile during my recent visit. I had clearly communicated to the cashier, who had a curly mustache, that I wanted only a light amount of honey in my iced latte due to a previous experience where too much honey was added. Despite this, when Emile, wearing a black hat and a Blink-182 shirt, prepared my drink, he opted to pour the honey directly into a clear measuring cup rather than using a spoon, resulting in a drink that was excessively sweet. When I requested that he remake my drink, he insisted that the amount of honey was correct, despite my clear observation that he had added more than I had specified. He continued to argue about the quantity, stating that a tablespoon was the standard measure and that he put less, while I reiterated that I had watched him pour directly into the cup and that it was too sweet for my taste. I said to him, "I'm telling you it's too sweet" then he had the audacity to say, "And I'm telling you I used the correct amount of honey for this drink." Frustrated by his refusal to acknowledge my request, I firmly stated that my drink was overly sweet and asked him to prepare another one. Emile persisted in his argument, claiming he had followed the correct procedure, which led me to inquire about his name and ultimately cease the conversation, as it was evident he was more interested in having the last word than resolving the issue. His demeanor suggested a lack of customer service skills, and he appeared to have a short temper, making the interaction uncomfortable. His co-worker found this to be quite amusing by his continual laughing. I expressed my desire to speak with a manager, but the cashier informed me that the manager was unavailable at that moment. It was disheartening to experience such resistance when all I sought was a simple resolution to my order, as other establishments typically handle such requests without dispute. It was unnecessary for him to engage in an argument with me regarding the remaking of my drink. I should not have felt compelled to defend my position, especially since I was the one who paid for it.

We love Day Camp! Currently I'm into the cardamom maple latte! Their avocado toast is the best in town. The balance of sea salt, microgreens and pickled onion compliments the avocado in the most satisfying of ways. Just thinking about the creamy goodness excites my salivary cells! Not sure where they source the avocado from, but they always deliver a mash at the crux of ripe freshness.

The decor is an industrial-green-sheek playing the part of hip but not obnoxiously so, and I find it easy to focus either ample space and lighting. The music is generally interesting and of note. I've found a few new favorites indie bands while patronizing there. Local artists are featured and the exhibits change often.

Great place to meet up with friends, enjoy some solo time or a mother-daughter coffee date. The shop is locally owned and strives to provide a safe inclusive space for all guests. Our family appreciates this local gem.
