I took my grandchildren ages five and eight on a pony ride at Cottonwood Cove Guest Ranch. What a disappointment this was! The wranglers put them on a horse while they led the horse and my daughter and I were side walkers. They walked us down approximately 100 yards to a tree and we turned around and walked back! That was it! Ride was over! What a total rip off! My grandchildren were on the back of a horse for a total of 8 minutes, which equates to $5.00 a minute! They charged $20 a child.

Cottonwood Cove was a wonderful beautiful place to get away. The Rio Grande River was within walking distance. The cabin was cozy and had most everything we needed. It is situated right between South Fork and Creede. Great location! We really enjoyed our time there.

We stayed at Cottonwood on our family RV trip and we could not have been happier. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly, it was very clean and our kids absolutely loved it! We would 100% book with them again next time we are in Creede.

I took my son on a trail ride at Cottonwood Cove and it was a blast! The wranglers are the nicest guys and have us some great info about the area. Loved it!

What a beautiful, serene, and relaxing place to stay right along the Rio Grande. It’s quiet and peaceful, and everyone there is welcoming and friendly. They were easy to work with in regards to our late night check in, and they had our room key and documents ready for us to pick up upon our arrival.

I stayed with a three-piece traveling band, and the accomodations were perfect. It’s located ~12 minutes away from Creede and 15 minutes from South Fork, so in-town or backcountry activities are nearby.

Cabin 13 was spacious, clean, and had just the right acommodations, including a kitchen with toaster and full-size range and refridgerator.

The king size bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of fresh towels. Shower pressure and hot water supply were both excellent.

Also, the WiFi is great. There’s no cell reception here (at least with Verizon), so the fast WiFi makes it easy to reconnect as needed.

I did not have a chance to experience the restaurant, but it looked wonderful.

I would highly recommend staying here. It checks all the right boxes. I’ll be happy to come back!

This campground may be my favorite ever in all my years camping. The location cannot be beat!! It was like waking up every single day in paradise!! The employees were the best.. treated us like family. Cheryl was very kind and helpful!! She went out of her way to make our visit pleasant. ||The restaurant is amazing!! Food was both beautifully prepared and delicious. Issac was THE best waiter ever. So personable and made each guest feel special. Mia was an outstanding chef. ||An Amish lady bakes good such as fried pies and cinnamon rolls for the gift shop. So so delicious!! And their ice cream was just the best. Had a large array of gifts and prices reasonably. Bought several to take back home. ||This RV Resort is centrally located near so many beautiful places. Driving the Silver Thread Highway is one of America’s most beautiful drives. So much to see and do. Creede itself is such a beautiful little town. Some of the best shops though. Batchelor’s Loop and the fire station in a cave are must do!!!

WE LOVE Cottonwood Cove and have been coming here every summer since 1972. We love cabin 24 and 21 on the river side and cabin 14, 10, and 7 on the lodge side. The lodge is a restaurant on Thurs thru Sun each week from May 9 to Labor Day week. Good food! They have daily specials each day as well. The gift shop is special because in addition to gifts they serve ice cream!
