Wasn't sure what to expect.

We dined on Memorial Day so things were a bit quiet. This may have a knock on the normal atmosphere. But I think we agreed it's a bit chintzy and probably not our thing. Sure others will love it.

Food was good. Filling and hopefully using local ingredients. We both had meat mains and both were cooked well. Shared a dessert as we were getting full. Recommend the bread pudding (a first time find in USA)

Staff were good and attentive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Caroline's. The atmosphere was really nice, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. Lupita took care of us and was fun to interact with as well as a great server. I really enjoyed the grilled romaine salad and the tomato fennel cream soup which were both vegetarian. The rosé was delicious and Caroline's also had ciders available. The rest of the people in our party enjoyed their food as well.

Oh my goodness what can I say we had the best time from the start of our meal to the very end! Liam and Juan made our stay and food the best experience. The wine was full of flavor and subtle hint of orange, the smoke trout dip was such a flavor bomb in your mouth with the onions and the baguette, the tomato fennel soup and grilled cheese was like home on a rainy day with grandma and mom in the kitchen. The salad with the peach balsamic was so light and crisp. The French onion was one of the best I have had in years. Overall this experience was the best one of the girls night. The bread basket was packed with different bread for you to try, with salted butter and the bread warm was just the ticket. The views out the large windows was breath taking. Desert was a warm peach bread pudding and it was delightful! Perfect amount of sweet and savory. Thank you Juan and Liam for being such amazing hosts while we were here!

Spent one night at the Wine Country Inn on route to Grand Canyon North Rim and dined onsite at Caroline's. 5 star restaurant any day of the week! Outstanding service. Immediate seating with our reservation. Surprisingly high-end top notch gourmet menu. Great selection of wines, cocktails and spirits. Food was outstanding. My wife had a spring salad and I had the French Onion as appetizers. We were served complimentary fresh baked warm bread rolls with creative textured butter balls. My entree was the trout and my wife had the salmon. For dessert we shared a rich, creamy Palisade Peach bread pudding. Views from our table were beautiful. An overall great experience that far exceeded our expectations for such a casual town as Palisade. Two thumbs up to the owners and managers and staff.

Went on a little dinner date with my husband this past week, and had a delightful experience. Our server, Juan, was a gem of a human and his menu knowledge helped us pick our meals and drinks. We started with a whiskey flight, something we always love. I'm from the East Coast, so I am very particular about my french onion soup. This was fantastic! 10/10 there! My husband had the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. I had the elk carbonara -- another winning dish. We finished with their seasonal dessert, a raspberry lime cake that was not what we were expecting, but was fantastic nonetheless. Tasted like something from our childhood! We will definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised at the great service and food at Caroline’s tonight. Had the best steak…grilled to order and so much flavor!! The French onion soup was delicious and the side of asparagus was served hot and cooked just right! Our server allowed a taster of wine and I chose the Colterris Merlot which was excellent!
Wonderful place! Great food!

I had the elk loin... Fantastic! Perfect texture and seared exterior, with the best taste. My wife had the Ahi. It also was perfectly prepared and tasted fantastic. The wine selection is nice and the surrounding groves made the experience at the winery.
The price was very reasonable.
We look forward to making the hour drive over the Mesa a regular experience.
