After doing a bunch of research on how to finally get rid of that annoying roll of belly fat I’ve had since I was a teenager, I became interested in Coolsculpting. It seemed like the perfect balance of an effective but non-invasive procedure that I could do with no downtime. I chose Care Plastic Surgery in Cary after reading lots of positive reviews and I’m happy I did.

As a middle aged guy, I honestly didn’t know what to expect from a plastic surgery practice. I felt a little awkward at first - but Bri and her Coolsculpt team were so friendly and helpful that I relaxed almost immediately. I had one consultation appointment where they evaluated me to see if the procedure made sense for me and answered all my questions. I received a quote and signed up on the spot.

The treatments were broken up into three sessions about six weeks apart. Each session had 3 “cycles” where a paddle shaped wand is placed over an area to be treated. The wand sucks the fat area in and super chills it for 30 min. Not gonna lie, the first two minutes are a bit intense before the area numbs. But knowing that the strong sensation goes away helped me get through each cycle ok. Bri and her team are always available throughout the treatment to make sure I was comfortable and to see if I needed anything. They are truly top notch!!

I knew not to expect instant results from Coolsculpt - the whole idea is that the fat cells freeze and your body eliminates those dead cells over time - but a couple weeks after my second session I could tell it was working.

Seeing the before / after photos a month or so after my third session was great. I didn’t realize just how much reduction I had over the course of the treatment. I decided to get one more round just to top it all off and I’m looking forward to seeing the results in about a month.
