Employee here was so kind, genuine, friendly and helpful. The store and chocolate pieces are aesthetically pleasing.

The chocolate is 61% which isn’t quite dark enough for me as I don’t consider chocolate to be dark if it’s less than 70% so for that reason I knocked off a star as the chocolate wasn’t as rich or decadent as I’d like.

Surprisingly my favorite was ‘The Elvis’ which is filled with peanut butter and banana. Very original flavors in a chocolate truffle which impressed me. Also liked the mint which had the perfect level of mint flavor without being overwhelming.

These Chocolates are worth any drive.
It’s a sure Must Have.
The lady at the counter said it’s a Mom and Daughter Team and they make all the chocolates by hand. You can tell when you taste them.
Soft, moist, decadently delicious!

I stopped in after seeing the pick and mix chocolate options through the window. I bought a selection of single chocolates, including some with a coffee bean on top. They were all fantastic, with the coffee bean my favourite. I’m glad I got 3 of those but I should have bought a few more! This will be an essential stop next time I’m in Sonoma.

This store is a perfect 5/5, between the store, the chocolate, and the customer service.

The lady running the shop was extremely nice and helpful, and gave perfect recommendations on what to try.

I cannot accurately represent how good the chocolate here is with just words, and how good of a deal it is. I have been to Europe, have had chocolates from a wide variety of sources, and these match the best of the best. They are handmade, and you really can taste the love put into them. The selection is quite nice, there are plenty of options, and the quality is very high.

The darker chocolate used isn't overly bitter, nothing is excessively sweet, flavors match and complement each other. The chocolate has a satisfying snap to it, and doesn't melt when you hold it, but melts quite nicely in your mouth.

My personal recommendation: if you get a single item from this store, make it a sea turtle.

It was a lovely experience visiting the Wine Country Chocolates store. The staff provided a sample of their delicious and rich chocolate. You can sure find something for anyone here since its offers have a variety of chocolates and brittles topped with salts, dried fruits or nuts. I would return again with a friend for a mid-day sweet treat.

Wine Country Chocolates make the best dark chocolate I’ve tasted and I’m not a dark chocolate fan. Typically most dark chocolates taste waxy and more like confectioners sugar than the actual chocolate itself. These chocolatiers do the right mix of vanilla and chocolate to amplify the flavors. They’re not too sweet, not too coarse/bitter and the texture is creamy not waxy. If you’re coming to Sonoma and love chocolate, Wine Country Chocolates is a must!
